My name is Joy and I am a generalist librarian at a Public Library in Central Virginia, doing Story Times multiple times a week, planning programs for all age ranges, and helping seniors feel more comfortable around technologies.  I believe public libraries are the last, free, great thing, and it is my greatest pleasure to help my friends and neighbors discover the joys available to them in their local libraries.

When I am not slinging books, I'm the mom of three, wife, and sometimes housekeeper and cook at Casa Doukas.  Apart from a serious audiobook addiction, and an allergy to social media, I like to sail, travel, cook and bake, ramble, watch films, listen to a wide range of music (much to the embarrassment of my children), and I can boondoggle like no one you've ever met before.
